A cooperation protocol was signed between our University's Technical Sciences Vocational School (TBMYO) and Van Lake Electricity Distribution Inc. (VEDAS) to provide students with applied electrical training. This strategic cooperation aims to strengthen university-industry cooperation and provide students with field experience.
TBMYO Director Dr. Lecturer Fatih Şevgin and VEDAŞ Support Services Manager Şenol Büte participated in the organized protocol on behalf of our University.
The cooperation protocol, which was made for the implementation of applied courses for the students of TBMYO Electronics and Automation and Electrical and Energy Departments within the framework of the joint education program to be determined in VEDAŞ education fields, will provide students with extensive field experience in the field of electricity. Within the scope of the protocol, students will receive applied training in the field on subjects such as electricity meter connections, fault analysis, loss-leakage detection, structure, types and connections of 3-phase transformers, insulators, breakers, separators, surge arresters, lightning rods, energy distribution conductors, poles and types.
Making a statement about the advantages offered by the protocol to students, Dr. Lecturer Şevgin said, "Thanks to this cooperation, our students will have the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge in practice. The trainings to be provided in the field will greatly contribute to the professional development of our students. In addition, they will be able to interact directly with sector representatives and become trained personnel in line with the needs of the sector. This cooperation will pave the way for similar protocols to be made not only between Muş Alparslan University and VEDAŞ, but also with different institutions. Such partnerships will provide students with the opportunity to receive education in accordance with industry standards and help them achieve a more competitive position after graduation. In this context, I would like to thank our Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican for the support he has given in the initiatives carried out to increase the quality of education and training of our students."
