Our university's Technical Sciences Vocational School Electrical and Energy Department 2nd year students organized a technical trip to Muş VEDAŞ in order to increase their practical knowledge and experience in their fields. The trip was carried out under the guidance of the course coordinator, Lecturer Dr. Yavuz Güler.
The technical trip provided an important opportunity for students to see professional applications in the electricity and energy sector on site and to gain technical knowledge by working in the field. Students had the opportunity to gain in-depth information about electricity distribution systems and energy infrastructures during the field work directed by VEDAŞ staff Sadettin Üzgüç.
TBMYO Director Dr. Lecturer Fatih Şevgin, who emphasized the importance of students seeing practical applications on site in these trip organizations, said, “The purpose of the technical trip is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of practical applications in addition to theoretical knowledge. Students have the opportunity to reinforce their knowledge of professional applications in this field by observing various processes related to the energy sector on site. When we look at the feedback from our students about the trip, we see that they expressed that they benefited greatly from seeing the applications in their fields on site. In addition to having theoretical knowledge in the electricity and energy sector, we think that seeing how this information is applied in the field and being involved in these processes is a great source of motivation for students. When we look at it from this aspect, we can say that the technical trip offers students the opportunity to see innovations and developments in the electricity and energy sector on site, while also providing them with a broader perspective on the sector by coming together with professionals in this field.”
The tour ended after the students' questions about their fields were answered.
